Job Summary: 
The Grade Control Specialist is responsible for performing all aspects of pre/post-sales support and training within the Southeastern Territory. This includes performing the functions of technical qualification of product compatibility with customer's application, presale configurations, onsite training, connectivity with various Construction equipment OEMs and other grade control brands. 
Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop and build strong, positive relationships with existing and potential customers, as well as internal partnerships with Sales, Service, Parts and Rental personnel. 

Be the subject matter expert for Leica Geosystem and other competitive products and applications for both internal employees and external customers. 

Work with sales representatives in making recommendations on product that may better fit customer needs based on site assessments, specific machine configurations and machine application for an individual job site. 

Create and deliver instruction, demonstration, and training for customers in the safe and efficient operation of Leica products both in classroom and on site. Educate and demonstrate to customers and their employees in fully comprehending the product, its capabilities and how to maximize the use of the equipment. 

Align marketing and sales goals by attending trade shows, conferences, organizing and implementing branch demo days, open houses, and other branch customer promotions and other marketing events. 

Proactively and diligently work to ensure customer problems are resolved quickly; speak with clients to comprehend, anticipate, and meet their needs; introduce them to new lines of equipment that would fulfill their project requirements. 

Report technical feedback to senior management and manufacturers. Stay current on the competitive market of 2D and 3D technologies.

Drive revenue based on performance of services for construction customers through training, support, and data prep activities. Maintain the skill, knowledge and expertise of all assigned products distributed by the organization, stay up to date on the features and benefits of competing equipment, and maintain files of information for use and reference. 

Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations. 

 
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • 5+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction in the areas of site control, site layout, takeoffs, grade checking, and machine control
  • Ideal candidate would be in the following area of Ohio: Dublin, Cambridge, Monroe, North Canton. 
  • Able to effectively and confidently demonstrate and promote products and features to a group 
  • Strong creativity and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong motivation and self-starting initiative
